Happy Thanksgiving

From all of us here at Lee’s Country RV we hope you have a great holiday and eat lots of Turkey!! We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday the 27th and will reopean Friday the 28th at 8 am. We decided to remain opean for the weekend do to unsually high volume of RV Parts customers.

This has been an unusual year for most of us in the RV industry and several other markets as well. We have consolidated all of our locations to Batesville, IN due to economical times. We are takeing every step possible to ensure the future of Lee’s and the services we provide. As of the first of the year we will be open 6 days a week to better serve our customers. We look foward to seeing all of you at the Indiandpolis RV Show in January and Feb.

Truck Campers

I just now realized that I haven’t blogged about truck campers yet. So I shall, one of the best things about truck campers is that you can still pull something else. Up North is Fishing country, so its important to fishermen that they are able to have a camper and tow their boat. With a truck camper thisworks. You have everything you need in this truck camper,stove,shower,toilet,refrigerator and a big bed. Pine Mountain Truck campers by Starcraft offers hard side truck campers and soft sides. With the soft sides the top cranks up another 8 inches or so but we had some issues with other brands leaking so we stuck with the hard sides. We have had nothing but great luck with Starcraft and their truck campers we are a customer for life.

I think this is on of my favorite Wildwood RV floor plans. Its layedout perfect to give you wide open living. The Wildwood 26TBSS can sleep ut to nine poeple without putting anybody on the floor. The master bedroom is up front and actually has some since of privacy. This camper has a huge living room with a super slide on the off door side and three bunks in the back. If you have kids this would be a perfect floor plan to allow to bring their friends on those camping trips. RV Snowbirds

Heading South for the winter? Yep, its that time of year again. Pretty soon we wont even be hearing the sound of crickets, but as one season ends another one begins. While we’re back here freezing our tails they will be camping in the warm weather of Florida and surrounding states. I don’t know if I could imagine a life where you could sit in your shorts in January or be staying in a Travel Trailer or Fifth wheel for month at a time. But a whole lot of people do, I guess you just get tired of the hard winters up north. Florida is the RV capitol of the world, more people head there with there campers than any place else. Theres no shortage of rv sales either with an RV dealer on almost every other corner they will have no problem with trading in.

Slide Out Awnings

Since its raining out I figured it would be a good time to blog about Slide out Awnings. Did you know that slide out awnings will solve up 95% of the leaks that you might get in a slide out? Some travel trailers and fifth wheels are now putting them on as a standard. If your looking at getting a new camper see if it comes standard with slide out awnings, if not then ask your salesman what it would cost to have them added to the coach. Roughly they should cost about 500.00-700.00 dollars depending on the size. Their not exactly the cheapest things to put on your camper but they could save you the most.

Burrrr it Cold – Tis the Season

I don’t know why but every year in the summer I say I cant wait for Winter. I guess it’s because the 100 degree days that no matter what you do you just cant cool off. That is unless you sit inside  all day and what fun is that? I guess that’s why the full time RV’ers go south. I couldn’t imagine sitting in my shorts in January celebrating New Years or not having snow on Christmas. Yeah Christmas will be here before we know it and the new year will ring in and we here in Indiana will still be left in the cold. January is when it really starts to get bitter cold, temps where your nose hairs freeze. Anyway back to my blog, I wanted to show you full timers what your missing. In a camper that is.
